Plains Zebra are by far the most common of the three species of zebra. Certainly one of the most common sights in any safari park across souther and eastern Africa.
The pattern of the stripes is what identifies the different species. Plains Zebra have stripes that go down around their bellies and have faded patterns of smaller stripes between the big stripes.

This zebra had an obvious run in with lions just before we found it. The park people don't interfere with nature.
I seen this same Zebra again 4 days later and it actually looked like it was going to survive.
