Steppe Marmot are entirely endemic to Kazakhstan. The body shape is generally the same as other Marmots but the color is certainly different.

A whole family of Steppe Marmots Very common in this protected area, they've been mercilessly hunted to extinction in most of their former range.
There are many species of Marmot, Prarie Dog, Groundhog and the like around the world. All of them cute and entertaining to watch.
