The Koala is one of Australia's most adorable native critters. Around Brisbane, they have unfortunately become very difficult to find in the wild. It took me 4 days of searching and ultimately hiring a guide who specializes in finding them. Disease and habitat loss have drastically reduced Koala numbers across all their range. Thanks to Marlene for letting us visit her backyard to photograph this one just outside the park!
