New Zealand Robin. In New Zealand, introduced pests are a huge problem for native wildlife. All around New Zealand, conservation efforts are working to create
predator-free island reserves. These little Robins are usually the first native species then introduced to see how they do before more endangered wildlife is introduced.
On Ulva Island, these cute little robins flew then hopped close enough to us that you could accidently step on them.
