A great location for arctic wildlife, these lakes are very recently exposed from under the glaciers.
Many of them have species of critters living in them that are new to science and haven't seen the sun in tens of thousands of years.
Scientists try to go to these lakes each year to identify the species living in the because these critters are unprepared for the birds that soon wipe them out.
