American Badger. Love to get a day time shot of one, but they are almost entirely nocturnal. This one was covered in mud or it would usually be a lot lighter color. After spotted badgers several nights in a row but having them run off immediatel... I finally took some immoral advice and just jumped out of the car and ran after this one. I didn't harrass it, just stumbled across it right next to its den before it vanished.
