In late 2013, a huge school or sardines took up residence in Monterey Bay for several months. It triggered a feeding frenzy of birds, whales dolpins and sea lions. Hundreds of Humpback Whales like this seemingly happy monster lived large in the bay and whale watching tours were packed.
