While the resulting pictures kinda suck, this was one fantastic day of tracking wildlife.
Still one of my favorite experiences and stories. My guide and I literally ran full speed after these chimpanzees.
When we went to slow, they would slow down or stop and look back for us to catch up.
When we fell too far behind, they would even make grunting sounds so we could find them and keep up!
Basically, they played a game of chase with us until they got tired of it. Then they climbed these trees and let me take my shots.
I've never had any other species play games and interact with me this way. It was obvious they really did think it was a fun game.
