Lowland Tapir live throughout the Amazon, the Pantanal and surrounding areas. These are the most plentiful and are the only tapir not listed as vulnerable. They are also the ugliest, IMO. Though they probably feel the same way about me so... Lowland Tapir are adept swimmers as you can see below.
