If you think of the the natural beauty of the Philippines, you probably think of beaches, reefs and maybe tropical forests. Me too. The last thing I expected to find in the Philippines were these open mountain meadows of rolling grass. Deep into the center of Mindoro Island, after a lot of uphill hiking in the intense heat is a unique world where the endangered Tamaraw still lives. A world away from the crowded towns and beaches surrounding it.
