There are over 6000 warriors in 3 "pits" like this one. Many have not been excavated yet and may never be. They were made by Shi Huangdi, the first emporer of China. His tomb still lies at this same site and has never been excavated by Chinese law. Just outside Xi'an, China Feb - 2011
