What I'm guessing is a Banyan Tree. You can see this kind of tree across africa, asia and australia though probably different species of it. Large and sprawling with shoots that grow down from branches to expand the size, they can grow into all sorts of art-like shapes.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where specifically this was taken now... But somewhere in India for sure. Feb 2006
