Sonoran Pronghorn is an endangered subspecies of Pronghorn. There are only around 400 of these left in the wild. This subspecies is smaller and lighter in color. The tiny population in this refuge had been reintroduced but the project has mostly been a failure. Conservation efforts continue and now they are adding more man-made wells and removing invasive plants in the refuge hoping it will help.
